Alright friends, it’s time for an escape – one of those escapes that has you forgetting the stress weighing you down, helping you to loosen up that carpal tunnel from too many days behind the keyboard of a computer. Imagine sipping a divinely palatable wine while inhaling the sweet scent of lavender, enjoying a little late morning yoga, and having the stress just melt away by virtue of a rejuvenating massage. Who couldn’t use a vacation from the daily grind that spells relaxation so eloquently? But before you go running for your frequent flier miles, you can experience this kind of restful retreat right in your very own backyard – at Matanzas Creek’s “Get Zen” event. Three Dog Yoga will be there between 11am – noon for an exhilarating yoga class. Enjoy the savory oysters of Drakes Bay Oyster Company and Matanzas Creek’s newly released 2010 Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc. Local massage therapists will be offering their expert hands for tired muscles, using Matanzas Creek’s luxurious Estate lavender spa products. And don’t miss the opportunity to get a rare, sub rosa glimpse of the winery’s lavender barn where the Matanzas Creek lavender fields are transformed into aromatic lotions, soaps, oils, scrubs, and more.
The event starts at 11am on April 16th, and the relaxing celebration will extend till 4pm. Admission is only $20 per guest, or $10 for wine club members. All guests must be 21 or older to attend. For reservations or more information, call Jessica Avalos at (800) 590-6464, ext. 7030 or visit the winery’s website at www.matanzascreek.com.
